How Yoon Shi Yoon got casted as Kim Tak Gu

While reading up on the writer of King of Baking, Kim Tak Gu, I came across this interview with writer Kang Eun Kyung who explained how she casted Yoon Shi Yoon as Kim Tak Gu. Essentially, she saw him in High Kick Through the Roof, a daily sitcom that showed earlier last year, and thought he had potential. Despite advice against casting him, she went ahead.

In High Kick, Yoon Shi Yoon plays Jeong Jun Hyuk, a high schooler. His family seems rather wealthy.

While sick in bed earlier this week, I was happy to find that they are uploading High Kick Through the Roof on Dramacrazy. Hopefully they will show all 126 episodes. Daily dramas are much shorter at ~20min (I guess it’s meant to be 30 min with commercials). The first few episodes are kinda slow, but it gets cuter. It’s supposed to be light, so don’t expect to get emotionally involved.
